The Anir Foundation is a (501c3) non-profit founded by Adrienne
Belafonte Biesemeyer and her daughter Rachel Blue. In 1997 as news
broke about the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa, they felt
they had to do something a bit different; lots of organization give
much needed dollars to people in need, but few give man power
and a chance for individuals to make a personal difference with
their own two hands. Anir Experience was created to help North
Americans learn, see and experience the beauty and wonder of
Southern Africa first hand, while giving a partnering hand to the
Southern African community.
