Course 1 (12-days 3 credits) takes place in the Western and Eastern Cape Region. Starting in Cape Town (discover the flora of Table Mountain & then and ending in the Tsitsikamma National Forest. Course 2 (17-days 4 credits) also starts in Cape Town and includes the Tsitsikamma National Forest but ends in the Drakensberg Mountains region. Course 3 (20-days 4.5 credits) starts in Cape Town includes the Tsitsikamma National Forest and the Drakensberg Mountains region and ends in Swaziland. |

For sure viewing of all 5 we travel to an animal rehabilitation and nurturing program in the Mpumalangan province of South Africa. |

| The Culture of Healing Program is a 12-day program with added travel days and optional added photo safari at the end or participants may return home. This Experience is recommended for medical, nursing and public health students, medical science and policy professors, community counselors and social workers dealing with the HIV community, and anyone interested in the culture of healing on the continent of Africa. This course focuses on the HIV & AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa and reflect on how USA policy has affected present outcomes. Participants will receive HIV awareness training from grassroots organizations who are working on preventing the continued spread of HIV & AIDS and TB in their community. Open discussion workshops with persons living with HIV in the community and in prison and an overview of maternal child health in regards to HIV & AIDS in South Africa. |
